Communication Intern

As our Communication Intern, you will play a key role in shaping and communicating QuinteQ's story, helping build awareness and credibility for our innovative flywheel technology in the energy transition.

THE JOB

As our Communication Intern, you will play a key role in shaping and communicating QuinteQ’s story, helping build awareness and credibility for our innovative flywheel technology in the energy transition. The most important—and challenging—part of this role is translating a complex technical concept into a clear, compelling story that resonates with our audience and sparks their enthusiasm. You will support online and offline communication efforts, contribute to marketing initiatives, and assist in growing our online presence through LinkedIn, the website and SEO activities.

 

Working closely within a small, dynamic team, your role will be varied and impactful, offering you the opportunity to use your skills and creativity to support QuinteQ’s communications strategy. Your contributions will support lead generation, brand positioning, and the cultivation of trust in our product within the construction and port industries.

 

Together with you, we want to achieve the following goals:

  • Build brand awareness and thought leadership
  • Excite and engage clients and stakeholders for future product launch
  • Generate leads for pre-sales
  • Position the QuinteQ brand using our USP’s and brand identity
  • Engage and expand our network in the relevant industries (ports, construction)
  • Improve our online visibility through (basic) SEO 


Hence, your responsibilities will be:

  1. Assisting in content creation, including blog articles and social media posts 
  2. Initiating basic SEO efforts, including keyword research and on-page optimization
  3. Assisting with event-specific marketing, focusing on key sectors like construction and harbor operations
  4. Support to create visually engaging material

 

YOU ARE…

…an enthusiastic communicator who enjoys working in a technical field. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, is detail-oriented, and can juggle multiple tasks. We don’t expect you to know everything already about flywheels or the energy transition, but we do expect you are willing and eager to learn. You have a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, enjoy creative projects, and are eager to dive into varied communication and marketing tasks. 

 

We are looking for the following qualities:

  • Background in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
  • Affinity with engineering, sustainability, innovation & science 
  • 0-3 years relevant experience, ideally with knowledge of digital marketing 
  • Strong writing and content creation skills, with a certain professionalism suitable for a B2B company
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles 
  • Fluent in both English and Dutch, both written and spoken

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with social media management and content scheduling tools
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite)
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Familiarity with keyword research tools like Google Keyword Planner
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics)
